Context of Our Trust

Cleves Cross Learning Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust of two primary schools based in south-west Durham. The Trust was formed by Cleves Cross Primary School in 2013 and Rosa Street Primary School joined the Trust in 2014. Cleves Cross Primary was judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted at its last inspection and Rosa Street Primary was judged to be Good by Ofsted at its last inspection.

The Board of Trustees has decided that both schools will follow the National Curriculum in order to provide the broad and balanced curriculum required by the Trust’s Funding Agreement with the secretary of State. On 1st January 2022, the Trust had a total pupil population of around 430 pupils.

The Trust is always looking to develop its schools and a 64-place nursery unit was created at Cleves Cross Primary in 2016. Plans are underway to expand Rosa Street Primary by creating a Nursery Unit for up to 26 full time children, which will open in September 2022.
